From Prague by train:
approximately every hour a train leaves either the Main Station or Masarykovo Station in Prague and heads towards Pardubice. The journey lasts from one hour 10 minutes to 1 ½ hours depending on the type of train. Pardubice Main Station was the first station in the Czech Republic to provide full access to the disabled allowing them access to all parts of the station and on to trains.
From Prague by car:
Follow the D11 (E67) motorway in the direction of Hradec Králové and take exit No. 68 in the direction of Pardubice. A vignette is required for motorway travel and it can be purchased from any petrol station, the Czech Post Office or at the border. Vignettes for vehicles up to a weight of 3.5 ton are of various durations: ten day for 100 CZK, monthly for 200 CZK, and yearly for 800 CZK.
City transport in Pardubice
has been provided by the Pardubice Transport Company (Dopravní podnik města Pardubic a.s.) for more than 55 years. The current system includes 30 regular routes, 11 of which are by trolley buses. In 2008 the city transport system ran 74 buses and 55 trolley buses over a total of 5,750,840 kilometres and carried 30,344,000 passengers.
