Panasonic Automotive Systems Czech, s. r. o.

The first successful project was the investment of Panasonic Automotive Systems Czech (former  Panasonic Mobile & Automotive Systems Czech). The company expressed its interest in the  investment in the CIZP as early as in 2000. The Municipality of Pardubice was successful in competing with other industrial zones in Poland, Hungary, Germany and the Czech Republic; and in December 2001 the contract regarding the land sale was signed up between the Panasonic company and the Municipality of Pardubice. Panasonic manufacturing plant construction started in the mid-2001 in the land with total area of 14 hectars. Manufacture of Panasonic branded mobile phones and car radios commenced in April 2002. In March 2006, mobile phones manufacture was unexpectedly terminated due to the stagnation in the world market, and the company focused on making satellite navigation systems for cars. In the future, the plant in the industrial zone is designed to be the biggest one of Matsushita company outside Japan and plans for moving the development centre to Pardubice are considered. The company promised to invest CZK 3.27 billion, so far 1273 new jobs have been created with expected increase up to 1376.

Jtekt Automotive Czech Pardubice s.r.o.

In 2001, the Municipality of Pardubice opened negotiations with JTEKT Automotive Czech Pardubice, s.r.o.  (former Toyoda Koki Automotive Czech Republic), a car components producer. The manufacturing plant construction in the City Industrial Zone began in May 2003 and was finished in February 2004. Since 2005, there has been a regular mass production. Currently, the company focuses on making steel and aluminium componens for TOYOTA cars manual gear levers, the investment amounted to about CZK 750 million. Regarding the merger of Toyoda Machine Works and Koyo Seiko companies, a new global company called JTEKT Corporation emerged. Not only that the merger established a sister company of original Koyo company in Pilsen, it also changed Pardubice plant manufacturing scheme focus.
Main products are electric steering booster aluminium components, supplied, after final assembly in sister JTEKT companies in Europe, to TOYOTA, PSA a Nissan.
Between 2003 and 2006, JTEKT invested CZK 750  million in gear components manufacture and created about 350 new jobs. The second phase, focused already on steering boosters manufacture was implemented in 2007-2008 with the investment of CZK 500 million. Currently, the company is getting ready for the third phase in 2009-2010, again focused on steering booster components manufacture. The investment is estimated at the amount of CZK 500 million. The second and third phases will bring an increase in number of jobs and a high degree of automation.
At the moment, the build-up area of the company is approximately 13 500 m2. The plant in Pardubice  is the company´s most important European plant regarding the aluminium parts manufacture.

 Ronal CR, s.r.o.

Ronal CR of Switzerland is another automotive company coming to Pardubice Industrial Zone in 2004. The company focuses on the manufacture, research, development and distribution of car components, namely aluminium wheels. Ronal´s sole customers are manufacturers of renowned car makes of Ford, Chrysler, Opel, Porsche, Saab, Škoda, Volkswagen, among others. The company has already invested in Pardubice over CZK 2 billion and created 400 new jobs. An increase up to 550 new jobs is expected in the following two years. The manufacturing plant construction in the area of 10 hectars started in December 2004, and the mass production began two years later, in 2006.

Kyb Manufacturing Czech, s.r.o.

The third Japanese company, KYB Manufacturing Czech, opened the negotiations with the Municipality of Pardubice in 2004. In the course of the following two years, a production plant for minor engineering was built in the area of 6 hectars.
Again, KYB represents the automotive industry and is the sole baffler supplier of the Toyota-Peugeot-Citroen concern. The company has been manufacturing car bafflers in Pardubice since 2006. The investment reached over CZK 751.5 million and 330 new jobs were created. In the following two years, the amount of new jobs is to be increased by other 120 jobs.

TechnoPark Pardubice, k.s.
 
A scientific-technological park, so called TechnoPark Pardubice, whose construction is already under way, belongs to recent investments in the industrial zone. This PPP (Public Private Partnership) project is being implemented under the patronage of the public sector, represented by the University of Pardubice and the Regional Office, and the private sector, represented by Free Zone company. The scientific-technological park is designed as a prospective centre of strategic services, research and development, focusing on the electrotechnical, chemical and automotive industries, information technologies and software applications. The investment is planned to reach CZK 750 million and create 250 new jobs, especially for university and college graduates. Office buildings construction was finished in 2008.

Foxconn CZ, s.r.o.

The company was estabished on the 18th May 2000 as the main center for supply to the electronics indrustry over the whole Europe. Foxconn is a registered brand name of Hon Hai Precision Industry Co., Ltd. and it is one of the biggest producers of personal computers in the world producing for such companies as Compaq, IBM, Dell, Apple, HP. It turned out that more convenient and faster was to buy the area of former company HTT Tesla in which they started the production  of PC Imac for IBM and PC Compaq in 2000.
