City Hall Office Department

This department provides services and support for the needs of individual authorities of the city and its elected representatives. It provides organisational, information, legal and material support for the work of the City Assembly, the City Council and City Hall. It acts as liaison between the city or City Hall and the general public and other entities. It also handles crisis management for City Hall and handles the city's foreign relations agenda.
 
ORGANISATIONAL DIVISION
This department provides administrative services to city representatives, and where necessary to other members of the City Assembly and city employees. It organises and arranges meetings of the City Assembly and City Council meetings, and where necessary meetings of other authorities (Council Commissions or City Assembly Committees). It participates in arranging the smooth running of elections, or referendums.
 
DIVISION OF EXTERNAL RELATIONS
Promotion Section
This section covers media representation of the city, the activities of its authorities and representatives and where necessary also its employees.
 
Section for Foreign Affairs
This section handles the city's twin town relationships and organises business trips for city representatives, and arranges interpreters and translations. It also manages all other activities and contacts relating to the city's external relations which are not handled by other sections of the council.
 
Tourism Section
This section gathers information about tourism and provides the general public with travel and tourism advice. It also implements measures arising out of the Concept for the development of tourism in Pardubice.
 
DIVISION OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY
This is a specialist workplace for the preparation and implementation of the city's information system, for the use of computers in work and management of the city, its authorities, and where necessary other entities. It participates in determining the methodology of the use of IT and the city's strategic studies with respect to IT. It administers information and communication technology and equipment connected to the computer network. Its primary tasks include:
 
LEGAL SERVICES DIVISION
This department provides legal services to City Hall, city authorities, and to members of the Assembly to carry out their roles, and where necessary also for other offices working for the city.
 
DIVISION OF ECONOMIC ADMINISTRATION
Customer Services Desk
The customer service desk provides general information, issues authenticated copies from public administration information systems, offers archiving services and also runs a lost and found service.
 
Operations Section
The operations section ensures that the council is equipped with hardware and technology, unless this is expressly assigned to another department.
 
Car Fleet Section
This section stores and services a limited number of vehicles from the car fleet owned by the city, ensuring that they are always fit for use. It ensures any related activities and is responsible for the technical condition of all technical equipment, and ensures that they are regularly maintained and repaired. Where necessary it undertakes other departmental tasks.
 
DIVISION OF CRISIS MANAGEMENT
This department carries out the city's agenda in relation to crisis and emergency planning and also supports the activities of other entities and authorities in the city's crisis management system, in particular the city's mayor.
