This office carries out public administration duties with respect to town planning, regional decision making and buildings regulations. It also deals with violations of building regulations. The office undertakes the role governmental supervision. It carries out expropriation in accordance with the Expropriation Act. It is the appeal body for appealing against decisions made by building offices in individual districts of the city in accordance with the Building Act. The office is responsible for drawing up the energy policy for the region. It also carries out a number of other related takes within the sphere of authority of City Hall.

 

 

Division of Land Planning

This department carries out duties related to land planning in accordance with the Building Act.

 

Division of Territorial Administration

This department carries out duties of state administration at the section for decision making with regard to land use, in accordance with the Building Act.

 

Division of Building Administration

Based on applications, announcements or in accordance with its own decisions, this department undertakes administrative proceedings in relation to building matters and issues decisions in building permit proceedings.

Appeal Division

This department reviews decisions made by district building authorities and manages proceedings about minor offences in accordance with the Building Act. Its also acts as the expropriation authority.
